Saving and Using Passwords with Bitwarden

Bitwarden should offer to save your passwords as you sign into websites where you already have a password. When it offers, click the “Save” button.

Once a password is saved, there are multiple ways to use the password to sign in:

If you click in the username or password field on the page where you’re signing in, it displays the Bitwarden logo.

Click on the logo, and it should bring up a dropdown of options. By default, it will list all the logins with the same base domain. However, once you use a login, it should show that one first.

Click on it and it should fill both the username and password for you.

The other way to use the saved password is to click on the Bitwarden logo on the toolbar at the top.

Here it shows you that for the webpage you are on, it has one possible login saved. Click on the logo and it shows a dropdown,

Click the Fill button and it fills the username and password for you.

It also displays a search bar so that if, for some reason, the password you need isn’t shown, you can search for it. Start typing the name or URL for the password you way and it should show you a dropdown of the options Like above, you can click the Fill button to fill the username and password for the selected website.
