The way it looks now, gcichurches.org has won the survey, so we’ll plan to go with that. If you’re in a hurry to get rid of the “wcg” part of your URL, send an email to webmaster@gci.org and request to move to gcichurches.org. It would help to have the current URL since it’s sometimes difficult to track down which site you mean when you say “my site”. We can’t promise immediate service, but we’ll do our best to move those who are itching to as soon as we can. After we move your site, we’ll redirect the old URL to the new site. Note: for international areas who are not changing your local denomination name, wcgweb.org will continue to be available. And as always, any local sites are welcome to register their own domain name (less than $10/year at namecheap.com) and we’ll be happy to provide the hosting using your domain name.
